Men's outerwear during the Khiva Khanate

The love of Khorezmians for red and black clothes is one of the traditions that has been going on since ancient times. This can be imagined from the clothes of the male heroes, which were reflected in the monuments of the ancient Khorezm statehood, in particular, in the murals of the Soil-Fortress palaces. Even during the reign of the Khiva khanate, it was customary to sew men’s outerwear from red fine linen fabrics. After the advent of Islam, of course, there had been some changes in the culture of dress. This, in turn, was primarily aimed at men’s hats.Due to this, the traditional Khorezmian headdress - «chogirma» was adapted to the conditions. In particular, the shape and sewing technology of hats, such as «tahya», depending on the length, as well as the production of such types as «silkma», «sherozi», «tugalak chogirma». «Roller» — the upper part was made of thicker woven fabric or leather with a woolen skin. The mines made using such labor-intensive and time-consuming technology, were mostly worn by the wealthy and officials. These styles «turban», «crotch» had changed.
