The shell method used in the preparation of Khorezm dresses was fundamentally different from the methods available in other regions of Uzbekistan. In this method, the distance between the fabric lines is 0.5-1 cm. The sides, hem and the inside of the sleeves of the upper clothes are made of semi-silk fabric cut crosswise, bordered with "farouz" stripes woven from adip or red silk. On the side cut, the edges of the stripes are stitched with red, yellow, and white threads. Such patterns were widely used to decorate the seams of outerwear pockets.
