One of the main features of men’s clothing in the period of the Khiva Khanate was narrow and compact, adapted to cold and hot weather, the fabric was tightly woven, the sleeves were narrow and long. The drinks were sewn from light white fabrics, with a wide shape and long sleeves. The collar sleeves were framed by ribbons woven from red, white silk thread. Some of the copies were embroidered, symbolizing the high status of the wearer in society. Probably called «pants», «shalvar», they were narrow or wide. The tight-fitting trousers were made of woolen, cotton-woven fabric and were worn mainly by the common people and the working people. Officials and dark-skinned people wore wide-legged, well-crafted silk trousers made of silk, cotton, and linen. The more fabric was used for the clothes were usually worn, the higher the financial status of the person wearing these clothes was.
