Many of the ancient clothing traditions of men in the Khorezm oasis have survived to the present day. Men’s historical clothing included in following wearings: underwear - «shoulder», «belkiyim», «yaktak», «trousers», «cholbir», outerwear: “dun”, “astardesh”, “chakmon”, “fur” made of leather; headwearings – “tahya”, “chugirma”, decorations: “belt”, “turma”, “belt with mada”, shoes leather boot .There were many types of men’s tops: «dun», «chapan», «astardesh-elvagay», «chakmon», «pustin», «kamzul», «avra ton», were customary to wear which were all long, open front, triangular or round collar , narrow-necked, long, shortest outerwear on hot days of the climate. Light shoulder clothing was mainly used as a underwear. The underwearings were mostly woven from cotton, sewn from white local fabrics. Both themselves and the tops were long, with a horizontal collar.Also, light underwear called «jubba», «kurta», «yacht» and «naked» wereworn during hot days, cotton versions of «jubba» and «kurta» were worn in cold weather.Depending on the length of the coat, its decoration, it was known what social class the owner belonged to, and his place in society.The tops of high-ranking officials and officials are made of high-quality silk kimkhob, banoras, velvet, and in some cases from the collar to the skirt. At the Ichan-Kala State Museum of Local Lore in Khiva, velvet coats and fox fur belonging to Muhammad Rahimkhan II Feruz are examples of men’s outerwear from the Khiva Khanate period.The tops of the lower classes were made of gray, cotton cloth woven by local artisans, with little or no ornamentation. The collar was similar to the collars of Sogdian and Bactrian clothes in terms of sewing technology and shape.
