Gumbaz Madrasa (Andijan)

Gumbaz madrasah is an architectural monument in Andijan region (1872). In the inscription in the head style, it is noted that it was built under the direction of the son of Buvanazar, Kurambay, on the order of a local rich man, Abdulhamidhaji.
Initially, the madrasah consisted of two-story rooms, a mosque, a classroom, and a small courtyard surrounded by a wall (the gable-domed building and two-story rooms have been preserved). Decorative mezana - bouquets are built in the corners of the head. The roof of the gatehouse and cells is covered with a dome. The roofs of the porches above the rooms on both sides of the peshtoki have pools. The peshtok is finished with a row of arches with a decorative lattice, and the top is finished with a sunburst decoration, and the two sides are decorated with columns, decorated with a ganch and girih pattern. The square-shaped shelves contain beautiful Arabic inscriptions, floral motifs, and the name of master Sofikhan, who renovated the madrasa (1914).
