Said Ahmadkhoja madrasa

Said Ahmadkhoja madrasa - an architectural monument in Margilan (end of 19th century).

The size of the madrasah is 42.3X44.0m. The courtyard (31.6x28.4 m) is surrounded by rooms on the north, east and south sides, and on the west by a mosque with a front porch. A 1.5 m wide ditch passed through the middle of the yard. An old maple tree grew near the stream. Although the madrasah is plain from the outside, the rows of mihrab arches, separated by the sunken walls built from the courtyard, make the rooms look more healthy. The room (14x7 m) is covered with contiguous panels, the ceiling is divided by red and green stripes, and the image of flowers and twisted branches is decorated between them. The flower patterns on the crowns and beams are smaller, the wall of the room is decorated with hanjira chains and araki sarrov in the "kirma" style. It was repaired in 1985.
