The Khorezm Exhibition of Applied Arts is located in the madrasah in Ichan-Qala, built by Minister Akbar Islam Khoja in 1908-1910. The exhibition includes 387 exhibits of Khorezm applied art. The collections dedicated to "Wood Carving", "Copper Carving", "Jewelry" play an important role in the section. The works of wood carvers father Polvanov, Abdulla Boltaev, Sapo Bogibekov will be presented. The exhibition opened in 1983 and was re-exhibited in 1991 and 2014. At present, the exhibition features more than 400 samples of priceless masterpieces of the XIV-XXI centuries: wood carving, textiles, carpets, copper carvings, jewelry.

Research is being conducted in the field of carpet weaving and painting. The urgent task is to write a scientific passport for each exhibit, to translate the exhibits of Arabic writing into Uzbek, to comment on the exhibits on each collection and to develop an electronic version. The total useful area is 420 sq.m. The date of construction of the madrasah is 1908-10.
